Participation leads to prevention

We encourage all youth educators in Manitoba to adopt the Lungs R 4 Life program into their classroom curriculum. This can be easily offered as a health education topic that can be integrated with why lung health is important now – for overall health, boosted immunity, and athletic performance.

The program is free.

Volunteer

The Lungs R 4 Life program relies on the good will and good intentions of volunteers. These are volunteers inside the classroom and outside in our community. If you are interested in spreading the word about lung health for youth, get in touch with us.

These are areas where we require volunteers:

Get Involved

In efforts to encourage active youth participation, Lungs R 4 Life will run challenges and contests within schools and between school boards.

Grade 6 Anti-Vaping Poster Contest

To help combat high levels of vaping in youth, the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority is launching an ‘Anti-vaping’ poster contest for 6th graders with the focus being on the health risks of vaping and reasons not to vape.
